For sweets, snacks and home food

Sell sweets and snacks on WhatsApp, paid before you pack.

With Sellly, customers order packs of namkeen, ladoos, pickles or the day’s menu from your WhatsApp chat, pay by UPI, and give an address in your delivery area. Every order reaches your list paid, with what to pack and where it goes.

Where the chats get stuck, and what changes

250 g or 500 g?
Every customer asks about sizes, and every total is worked out by hand.
With Sellly: Each pack size has its price. With pack combining on, two 250 g packs become a 500 g pack at its price.
Packed, then never paid
The order is packed and waiting, and the payment never comes.
With Sellly: Orders wait for payment before they reach your list to pack, and unpaid ones close after the time you set.
Addresses lost in old chats
Scrolling up to find where someone lives, every time they order.
With Sellly: Returning customers skip the address: it’s already on their record.
Orders from too far away
A customer across the city you can’t deliver to at that price.
With Sellly: Delivery areas by pincode, each with its charge. Orders from outside them are turned away politely, in the chat.
The last batch
More orders than ladoos on the day before a festival.
With Sellly: Stock counts stop orders when a product sells out.

How it works

What’s ready when you sign up

Sellly sets these up from the kind of business you choose. You can change every one of them.

The rules for your business

Selling food you make needs an FSSAI registration before your first sale, whatever your sales, and since 1 April 2026 the basic registration covers sales up to ₹1.5 crore a year. Packets you fill before anyone orders (sealed namkeen, jars of pickle) also need a label with the details the packaging rules ask for. Sending food to a customer in another state makes GST registration compulsory, whatever you sell. All three are explained, with sources, in selling food from home in India.

Ready for festival orders

Planning Diwali sweets and snacks? Dates, last days to order and messages to send are in festival orders on WhatsApp: a Diwali 2026 checklist.

Questions

Can I sell the same product in 250 g and 500 g?

Yes. Each product has its sizes, each with its own price and stock. With pack combining on, customers tap + for each 250 g, and two make a 500 g pack at its price.

Can customers pay cash on delivery?

Only if you switch it on. For home food it starts off, so orders are paid by UPI or bank transfer before they reach your list to pack.

Can I deliver to other cities?

You choose where you deliver, by pincode, with a charge for each area. Sellly doesn’t book couriers. Remember that sending food to another state means registering for GST.

Can I keep using the WhatsApp Business app?

Not on the same number yet. Until you can connect it yourself through Facebook, a number on Sellly can’t stay in the WhatsApp Business app at the same time: use a new number, or move your current one over.

Put your menu on WhatsApp.

Choose “Food & snacks” when you sign up, and Sellly sets up your menu, delivery and payments. Try an order in the preview before customers see it.
